Welcome to the Champagne Ciné FAQs! Do you have any questions about our webzine, our editorial policy or how to collaborate with us? You’ve come to the right place.
What is Champagne Ciné?
Champagne Ciné is an independent online magazine dedicated to a passion for cinema, with strong roots in our region. Our mission is to analyse the latest film news through our reviews and interviews, whilst shining a spotlight on the local cultural scene (festivals, organisations and production companies in the region).
Are you affiliated with a particular cinema?
No, Champagne Ciné is a 100 per cent independent media outlet! We write about the films that really move us, whether they’re shown in large multiplexes, championed by arthouse cinemas, or discovered at our regional festivals.
What is your editorial policy?
Whilst we cover global film news and highly anticipated releases, we are committed to promoting socially conscious cinema. You will regularly find features and reviews on our website addressing important social issues (women’s rights, LGBT+ issues, conflicts, etc.). We also place great emphasis on film literacy and the behind-the-scenes roles in the film industry.
I represent a festival, a cinema or a local organisation. How can I get in touch with you?
We love building bridges with cultural organisations in the region! Whether it’s to cover an event (such as Reims Polar or War on Screen), discuss a film screening and discussion, or propose a partnership for our “Top Tips” section, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Visit our Contact page or send us an email directly to: champagne.cine@gmail.com.
I’m passionate about cinema – can I write for Champagne Ciné?
It would be our pleasure! We’re always delighted to welcome new writers and fresh critical perspectives. If you’d like to share a review, submit an analysis or join the editorial team, please send us a brief introduction about yourself along with a sample piece (a film review, a rant or a favourite pick) via our contact form.
How can you make sure you don’t miss any of your articles and top tips?
